Clodagh Emoe’s workshop, that was originally meant to be at IMMA but swapped to Grand Parade, has been scuppered by the weather and has been rescheduled for sometime in May
Missed Tuesday’s Situations, never even got a chance to read the text with all the palava around the snow, what with power cuts, helping neighbours, and being generally exhausted. We got our dates for Glasgow, 25th – 27th of April, looking forward to this, hopefully I can get a chance to bond a bit better with my class mates, what with being a bit remote from the college for the first weeks. Got the next two week’s Situations readings from Lucy, Roger Callois’s classic ‘Man, Play and Games’ (1958) and two French feminist texts for the week after.
Our plan to have the sculpture finished by Paddy’s Day are out the window, I have six days of long hours ahead to get ahead with bronze edging, now the plates and cleaning complete we’ve lost Donal so it’s just me and Fish for the last push. Miraculously we haven’t killed each other yet, I just hope we can last the next three weeks.
